Between 2002 and 2008, Everest of Apples-Aomori helped the Prajwal School purchase land build a 3 storey school building and offer scholarships to over 50 students per year. To help the school achieve its goal of financial independence and self-sufficiency, EofA-Aomori’s primary goals for 2008-2009 are:
- ♦ Teacher’s professional development for visible change in children’s learning
- ♦ Improved access to essential teaching resources and materials
- ♦ An income generation scheme for students and their families to allow them to pay for their own tuition as well as save for further education beyond the Prajwal School.
The school and community has worked hard over the years in striving to achieve self-sufficiency, As the school approaches this goal, EofA-Aomori is researching prospective projects for the future. They will be in keeping with our mission to support children's education regardless of race, cast, or gender.
